FIELD: disinfection of liquids including potable and sewage waters; applicable in reduction of bacterial contamination of sewage waters and in process of treatment of potable water. SUBSTANCE: plant has chamber for liquid treatment whose internal wall is surface of ovaloid of revolution round its small axis. Coaxially with it, electrodischarge unit is completed from two coaxial insulated conductors ending in electrode immersed into liquid symmetrically to large axis of chamber. Plant has current pulse generator, switching discharger, supplying and discharging hydraulic systems. EFFECT: higher disinfecting effect with low specific power consumption. 5 cl, 4 dwg
