FIELD: devices for smelting of copper sulfide concentrates into blister copper. SUBSTANCE: periodic smelting in copper-smelting device with obtaining of copper matte is combined with continuous processing for production of blister copper, and all equipment components are installed above flow level. Copper-smelting device has batch-melting furnace, facility for transportation of molten matte and continuous converter furnace for continuous production of blister copper with continuous supply and processing of matte fed by transportation facility. Use may be made of collector for temporary storing of molten matte transported by transportation facility. Matte flows under gravity from transportation facility or collector into continuous converter furnace through the first runner. Blister copper produced in continuous converter furnace flows under gravity through the second runner into special refining furnace for production of anode copper. EFFECT: higher efficiency of process at relatively low capital investments and maintenance costs and low floor area requirements. 6 cl, 5 dwg
