FIELD: manufacture of building materials; equipment for heat treatment of ceramics; manufacture of ceramic in allied branches. SUBSTANCE: chamber-type electrical furnace consists of sections connected in succession and mounted on metal frame. One section is immovable and two other sections are movable sections are connected with immovable one by means of spring-loaded devices. Each section is provided with double walls mounted in spaced relation and provided with ventilation duct interconnected by means of Z-shaped holders made from heat-proof alloy. Outer walls are connected with metal frame through flexible compensators. Roof is made from separate easily detachable blocks held by spring-loaded compensators. Walls are made from refractory material possessing low heat conductivity. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of tightness of joints; ease in maintenance; reduction of time required for performing auxiliary operations. 5 cl, 2 dwg
