FIELD: the invention refers to the field of metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: the resistor electrical furnace for heating large ingots has a casing, a working chamber with a lining and a small door, a retractable tray, electrical heaters, a power supply and a system of automatic regulation of temperature. The length of the retractable tray is 0,6-0,9 of the common length of the furnace, whose other part adjacent to the rear end-face of the wall of the furnace is fulfilled stationary.
EFFECT: prolongs the tenure of employment of the heaters.
