FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: transformer has magnetic system incorporating three similar rectangular-opening magnetic cores. First and second ones are relatively parallel. Third core is perpendicular to them. Primary and secondary phase windings are wound on two adjacent cores in phase-by-phase manner. Magnetic cores are tight-mounted in same plane along common symmetry axis. Core opening is as high as double sum of core thickness and its opening width. Primary windings are concentric to secondary ones. Ribbon cores may be split so that first and second ones are split at distance from third one not longer than double thickness of core, and each core may be assembled of set of similar cores arranged along common symmetry axis and abutting against each other through end surfaces. EFFECT: improved power characteristics, reduced mass and size, simplified design and unification. 3 cl, 2 dwg
