FIELD: electrical engineering; routing fiber-optic cables under water. SUBSTANCE: tools are optimally adjusted to digging trenches, up to 82 m deep, in underwater bed, especially in fairways of rivers, lakes, and seas where damage to flexible oil- or water- supply pipelines is most probable. Fiber-optic system cables are routed parallel to trench which also prevents their breakage. Problems of trench erosion by water are also solved along with cleaning cutting plates of chain saw from soil. EFFECT: enlarged functional capabilities, improved environmental friendliness. 1 dwg
