FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: cable-laying vehicle that may be found useful in road-building and geological exploration technologies for exploiting natural-shelf ground related to bearing-power groups III-VII has excavation machine and cable feeding and unreeling mechanism; novelty is that cable holding, feeding, and unreeling mechanism is mounted on intermediate fixed support incorporating provision for angular coordination of feed and similar coupling with wheel-mounted multiple-operation truck whose fluid drive is coupled with slewing axle of chain-saw driving rack, sprayer, and flexible pipeline holding and feeding fiber-optic communication line cable elevated so as to keep it away from excavated ground. Fluid drive of saw chain is equipped with three-screw fluid (oil or water) feed system. Crawler-and-trailer feed system depends for its operation on automated feed of fluid from surface water craft compression station ensuring supply of fluid energy carriers to motion assemblies of crawler, jibs, saw-chain fluid drive, and sprayer that functions to clean cutting blades from soil and to shape trenches for cable routing. Fiber-optic communication line cable is terminating in half- coupling adapters with hermetically sealed joints designed for underground or surface connection. Proposed cable-laying vehicle provides for laying cable in trenches as deep as up to 82 m without impairing natural shelf.
