FIELD: road building machinery. SUBSTANCE: chain saw cutting plate has main and auxiliary surfaces of cutting wedge made in form of equilateral trapezium, cutting tools on extensions of sides and rib with holes whose centers register with axes of holes of chain drive links. It has flat shell. Cutting members are made in form of rods one of which is arranged on axis of symmetry of plate. Rib has angle of tooth point the same as that of wedge. Its holes are located to provide required angular parameters of cutting plate position at angles commensurable with fluidity angles of separated and cut material of shelf trench ground. After rigid connection of rods, cutting plate is subjected to tempering, normalizing and surface hardening according to multiple cycle method to proposed border of wear of cutting edges. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities at underwater treatment of materials, provision of increased strength of cutting plates owing to accurate determination of border of wear of tool plate cutting edges. 3 dwg
