FIELD: instruments. SUBSTANCE: method uses linearity of direct and inverse piezoelectric effects for bidirectional transducers and involves excitation of transducer by radio pulses which have different filling frequencies and finished for amplitude voltage level, measuring amplitudes of natural oscillation, which are received by receiving transducer. This results in possibility to measure respective sensitivity of hydrophone with respect to reception of different excitation frequencies. Absolute sensitivity is measured by any absolute method using one or several frequencies. EFFECT: increased precision, simplified calibration in low band from Hz fractions to several kHz without need in low volume chambers. 2 cl, 1 dwg
