FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: underwater acoustic signals re received simultaneously by array of hydrophones from reference signal transducer and from source under test. Levels of received signals are compared then and further processing of results is conducted. In process of comparison of values of levels of received signals distances from array of hydrophones to reference signal transducer Lr and to tested source Lt are measured. Value of level of sound pressure of tested source Pt is found from equation Pt=Pr·(Urec·Lr/φrLt), where Pr is relative level of sound pressure of reference signal transducer; Ur and Ut are effective values of electrical voltages at output of array of hydrophones corresponding to signals from reference signal transducer and from tested source. Design of reference signal transducer is specified in description of invention. EFFECT: improved accuracy of measurements. 6 cl, 6 dwg
