FIELD: medical equipment, in particular, investigation and curing of false or low-degree myopia. SUBSTANCE: exerciser has test objects 1, pole 3 with transverse plank 4, rotary disks 5 with lenses 7, disk rotation mechanisms positioned in casings 9, device 10 for regulating center-to-center distances, chin rest 11 with retainer 12. Disk rotation mechanism has pin 13 carrying rigidly fixed disk 5, ratchet 14 with teeth 15. Ratchet 14 has central opening and flange with sleeve rigidly connected with pin 13, sprocket 16 provided with wedging members 17 and connected to handle 20 through coil spring 18 and sleeve 19. Handle 20 is kinematically connected with lever 21 engageable with ratchet wheel 14 and provided with thrust 24 for restricting free motion of handle 20. Lenses are arranged in disks 5 in optical power increasing order (ranging from +0.25 to 2.00 diopter). To use apparatus, patient's chin rest 11 is arranged in required position and center-to-center distance is set. Lenses 7 are positioned in front of patient's eyes, with dioptria of lenses being such that patient sees line of test object 1 in "fog" for sight acuteness of 0.1. Then patient tries to exert accommodation so as to see distinctly the given line, as well as subsequent lines, with following pressing and releasing of handle 20 to provide rotation of disk 5. As a result, lenses 7 in front of his eyes are changed. EFFECT: simplified construction and increased convenience. 1 dwg
