FIELD: chemical industry. SUBSTANCE: described is paste for applying coatings onto substrates. Paste comprises at least one powder substance, at least one water diluted nonionic rheological substance and water. Powder substance is powder substance selected from group consisting of niobium, tantalum, molybdenum, tungsten, nickel, chromium, boron, indium, tin, oxides, silicides and alloys, thereof and titanium dioxide, and water diluted nonionic rheological substance which is substance selected from group consisting of associative polyurethane-based thickener, aqueous silicic acid dispersion and polyglycol ether, ratios of components being as follows, wt. %: powder substance, 32-90; rheological nonionic substance, 0.3-12.5; and water, the balance.
