FIELD: radiation test of quality of material and articles. SUBSTANCE: radiation flaw detector incorporates protective container with radiation source hung by flexible cable, collimation head, flexible ampoule guide connected to protective container on one side and to collimation head with use of joining unit on the other side, control desk coupled to protective container, unit protecting against radiation installed in close proximity to protective container and embracing flexible ampoule guide. Protective container is mounted for movement relative to unit protecting against radiation. The latter is fitted with blades for emergency cutting of ampoule guide. EFFECT: decreased radiation of radiation source under condition of emergency clearing while radiation source is stuck in ampoule guide by isolation of radiation source with the aid of additional shell. 4 cl, 1 dwg
