FIELD: equipment for counting and checking documents, detection of fake documents. SUBSTANCE: goal of invention is achieved by design of feeding mechanism, which moves documents along guiding surface to be passed through device. Detectors, which are located above guiding surface, check optical and magnetic characteristics of documents. Read signals are sampled and converted to digital representation by means of analog-to-digital converter, which is controlled by microprocessor or microcontroller. Samples of signals from detectors are stored in memory, when each documents passes detector. Stored values are compared to reference values in order to verify each document that passed detectors. Documents are counted after checking. Control method provides coordination of operations for counting and checking documents. Separate partial samples and financial values of such partial samples are provided. EFFECT: increased reliability, increased stability to electric noise. 31 cl, 4 tbl, 19 dwg
