SELECTION DRILL FOR SOWING SEEDS IN CASSETTES Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: agricultural and forestry engineering. SUBSTANCE: drill has seed cans provided with discharge chambers and joined to define single block made in the form of carriage, and seeding cylinder composed of cylindrical casing and replaceable screen made from antistatic material. Cells for catching seeds from discharge chambers of seed cans on seeding cylinder casing surface are made hemispherical and are arranged in groups having 2-3 cells and positioned in rows. Cells in screen are sized and configured in accordance with configuration and size of largest seed. Device for moving cassettes adapted to be seeded is made in the form of box mounted in guides for reciprocation. Roller chain is stretched on one wall of box so as to be engageable with sprocket fixed on end of seeding cylinder and adapted to be rotated. Two end roller-type switches are mounted on other wall. At the end of idle stroke (before seeding) one switch is adapted for moving carriage by means of leverage system to position in which discharge chambers of seed cans are arranged above rows of screen cells. Upon termination of working stroke (seeding), second switch shifts seed cans away from cells. Inclined corrugated chute is designed for grouping seeds in center of cassette cells under cylinder. EFFECT: increased efficiency by simultaneous and precise seed drilling in strictly separated rows of cassette cells, and increased seeding rate. 4 cl, 5 dwg
