FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves preliminarily irradiating 5% glucose solution with X-ray radiation at a dose of 0.2-0.5 Gr/ml and introducing into a newborn organism immediately before and after giving antibacterial preparations. Infectious toxicosis symptoms are reduced at the first day after irradiated 5% glucose solution is transfused. The children start sucking themselves, augment in weight, become more active. Their general state normalizes 2-3 days earlier than that is the case in patients receiving ordinary care. Irradiated glucose transfusion exerts stimulating influence over anti-endotoxin immunity in cases of pyoseptic diseases. The influence manifests itself in increased endotoxin binding reserve due to granulocytes and growing titers of anti-endotoxin antibodies at the third day after infusion. In applying complex therapy including irradiated glucose transfusion, marked correction of homeostasis and acid-base blood state disorders takes place in cases of severe bacterial infection. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment; lower lethal outcomes level; avoided application of blood preparations.
