FIELD: treatment of natural and sewage waters with the help of ion-exchangers, particularly, methods of regeneration of ion-exchange resins; applicable in power engineering, metallurgy, chemical and other industries using desalted or softened water in production processes. SUBSTANCE: flushing of used resin layer is carried out in two stages. At the first stage, use is made of water flow with velocity ensuring fixing of resin granules in vertical plane, and the second stage, process is carried out by water-air mixture with relative air-water volumetric ratio of (2-10):1 and with linear velocity of water supply reduced to velocity of supply of regenerating solution. Process is carried out in pulse conditions with frequency of 0.01-10 Hz and supplying to system during flushing from 1 to 1000 pulses. EFFECT: reduced time taken for regeneration by 5-15%, increased volume of filtering cycle by 10%. 5 cl
