FIELD: transport engineering; reinforced tailgate of pickup truck. SUBSTANCE: tailgate is connected wit body by means of holding mechanism 6. Tailgate has panel 7 and inner panel 9 interconnected by reinforcement member 8 placed in between. Reinforcement member 8 is essentially intermediate frame structure panel 13 rigidly connected with reinforcement members 14 uniting zones of attachment of hinges 4 located on lower beam 16 of intermediate panel 13 with zones M and N of attachment of lock and holding mechanism 6, respectively, located on side beams of intermediate panel 13. EFFECT: increased strength of tailgate which can used as loading and unloading platform, and as extension for carrying long length loads. 9 cl, 5 dwg
