FIELD: automotive industry. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to front part of vehicle body featuring higher energy absorbing properties. Front part of vehicle body contains side member in each side zone. Rear part 10 of side member is made curved down, and front part 8 and central part 9 have closed cross section. Cross section area of side member front part 8 is greater than that of central part 9 being made up of several rigidly connected members. Upper member 21 of said members is also component member of side member central part 9, and end face member 20 is link of coupling of at least bottom part of central member 19 with central part 9 of side member. Invention provides increase of shock energy absorption in zone of maximum distance from passenger compartment, 1.e. in front part of body.
