FIELD: organic chemistry and technology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of synthesis of antiseptic agents. Invention describes the method of synthesis of polymethyleneguanidine by polycondensation of guanidine hydrochloride with hexamethylene- -diamine. Polycondensation of guanidine hydrochloride is carried out with mixture of two amines one of that is hexamethylenediamine and other - higher monoamine at molar ratio of hexamethylenediamine to higher monoamine = (10-20):1. Invention describes also polyalkyleneguanidine based on higher monoamine showing enhanced antiseptic properties and hydrophobicity.
