FIELD: textile industry, applicable in various process transitions from spinning to final finishing. SUBSTANCE: fibrous substrate is passed through the interelectrode space formed by parallel-arranged electrodes of the device and in the corona discharge zone subjected to the action of active particles of gas and radiations, the method is notable for the fact that through the fibrous substrate in the direction from the cathode plate to the anode one accomplished is extraction of air flow containing active particles from the interelectrode space by an exhaust fan; the cathode plate represents a plate made of dielectric accommodating needles in the direction of the anode plate, the current per needle makes up 9 to 15 uA.
