FIELD: pipe-line gas transport, applicable in multiple-line systems of gas conduits, whose parallel lines are connected by crosspieces in the points of location of gating devices. SUBSTANCE: the method consists in disconnection of the section to be emptied and the adjacent section and direction of gas in by-pass through the parallel lines of the gas conduits. Originally the pressure in the section to be emptied and in the adjacent section is equalized to the level in the inlet header before the force pumps of the gas-transfer station. Then, the section to be emptied and the adjacent section are shut off, then gas is evacuated from the adjacent section by means of a standard stand-by gas-transfer device, which is a component of the force pump and its drive installed at the gas-transfer station, and a mobile ejector device located near it. High-head cooled gas picked up past the heat exchanger of the gas-transfer station is supplied to the ejector nozzles. Gas is evacuated from the section to be emptied to the adjacent section with the use of an additional mobile ejector device located on the boundary of these sections. High-head gas is fed to its ejector nozzles from the opposite section of the parallel gas conduit, the ejector inlet communicates with the section to be emptied, and the outlet - with the adjacent section. The device (mobile gas-transfer unit) for realization of the method is featured by a rather essential indication - gas bond between the gas generator and force pump drive located on two transport facilities. Employment of the mobile gas-evacuating unit in combination with the additional mobile ejector device essentially reduces the necessity of travel of the mobile gas-transfer unit on route of the gas conduit.
