FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to pipeline gas transport and can be used for pipeline section emptying from gas. According to the method, removing the emptied section from the main pipeline is followed by attaching a stalk provided on the emptied section through a connection to an anchor container made of an elastic gas-proof material. The section is emptied from gas by the gas transfer into the above container. The device comprises a gas intake unit configured in the form of the container made of an elastic gas-proof material. The elastic gas-proof container is presented by a dirigible balloon or an air balloon. The device also comprises the connection of the given container to the stalk on the emptied section of the main pipeline, and an anchor for retaining the container. The connection of the container to the stalk can contain a nozzle, one end of which is connected to an air valve mounted on an output into the container, while the other end of the nozzle is connected to an air valve mounted on the stalk. The container can be provided with a differential pressure gauge.
EFFECT: simplifying the method and device and reducing the gas loss.
