FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves examining acute phase protein concentrations of C-reactive protein and haptoglobin using a generally applied standard methods at the first, seventh and fifteenth day when admitting a patient in hospital before operation and in postoperative period. Leukocyte intoxication index (LII) is calculated. The obtained patient blood characteristics(C-reactive protein - 0-18 mg/l, haptoglobin - 0.5-2.0 g/l and LII - 1.0-2.2). The blood characteristics being restored within the mentioned limits, patient state is considered to be compensated witnessing favorable development course in postoperative period.
