FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves putting in the first welt-type suture on two straight needles outward from organ center. The second welt-type suture is sewn in the opposite direction catching a stitch of the first suture. Splenectomy is done some distance apart in distal part. The both sutures are tightened to reach hemostasis. Ligatures are tied. Omentum on the feeding limb is spread over the cut surface. The omentum is fixed in two points with retained ligatures of the welt-type sutures. EFFECT: reliable hemostasis in making splenectomy operations. 1 dwg
