FIELD: agriculture, in particular, growing of vegetable crop seedlings. SUBSTANCE: method involves seeding; cutting roots and selecting seedlings; prior to selecting seedlings, forming stable soil-and-root structure within root layer of soil by sequentially changing geometrical and physical-mechanical parameters of soil adjacent to plant roots by sequentially compacting soil by, for instance, rolling or stamping method.
