FIELD: agriculture, in particular, technique for undercutting of roots of, for example, vegetable crop seedlings.
SUBSTANCE: apparatus has frame, central column and two side columns connected with one another through flexible undercutting member. Side columns are mounted on frame for longitudinal displacement and central column is positioned for longitudinal and transverse displacement.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of root undercutting process owing to providing of constant undercutting depth throughout the entire width of ridge, spatial stability of undercut plants, and reduced plant losses at soil portions where working tool penetrates into soil or is withdrawn from soil.
