HOLLOW CHAMBER-LIKE PROFILED SECTION WITH STIFFENING MEMBER Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: construction engineering. SUBSTANCE: this relates to designs of windows and doors. Hollow chamber-like profiled section has hollow profiled section and stiffening member which is inserted into profiled section. Stiffening member of box cross-section is made of rolled sheet steel and has threaded passage for connection with other hollow profiled section. Threaded passage extends along internal walls of hollow profiled section. Stiffening member of box cross-section made of rolled sheet steel is in the form of single shell. One free flange located at threaded passage is directed towards internal side of hollow chamber of profiled section and then it is variably angled with respect to its internal walls. Aforesaid arrangement increases stability of shape of hollow profiled section and cuts amount of materials needed for manufacture of profiled section. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 9 cl, 5 dwg
