FIELD: oil refining, gas processing and petrochemical industries, more particularly cleaning of high-boiling hydrocarbon fractions gasoline, kerosene, diesel fractions from mercaptans and acid impurities. SUBSTANCE: described is method of cleaning high-boiling fractions from mercaptans and acid impurities by oxidative treatment of hydrocarbon fraction with oxygen-containing gas in reactor with stationary sulfur compound oxidation catalyst bed in the presence of alkaline agent. Alkaline agent is product of reaction of acid impurities of high-boiling hydrocarbons with sodium or potassium hydroxide prepared in the presence of oxygen-containing gas and heterogeneous sulfur compound oxidation catalyst. Process is carried out to separate spent alkaline agent from purified fraction, to concentrate it and continuously recycle in into reactor to cleaning stage. EFFECT: more efficient cleaning method.
