FIELD: automatic closing of doors. SUBSTANCE: gear is designed for automatic closing of doors of living and service rooms. It includes cylindrical body hinged to door frame inside which rod with piston spring-loaded relative to body as well as facilities to connect outer end of rod to door are positioned. Hollow rod has two slits symmetric with reference to its axis. Inside rod there are placed solid of revolution and second spring that rests with one end against piston and with the other end against solid of revolution. Facilities for connection of outer end of piston to door are manufactured in the form of system of two interhinged levers, first one being hinged to door frame and second one - to door leaf. Outer end of piston is hinged to first lever and sheet part passing through slits in outer end of piston is made fast to first lever in area of this hinging. Surface of this part is limited by straight line changing over to circumference. This straight line forms angle of 50-95 deg with axis of body when door is closed completely. Center of circumference of sheet part coincides with axis of hinged joint of end of rod with lever. Dimensions of sheet part are chosen in such way that solid of revolution rests against edge of straight section of completely closed door and with opening of door solid of revolution moves o section which is part of circumference and rolls further on over edge.
