METHOD OF DIAGNOSTICS OF VISUAL-MOTOR AND VISUAL-PROPRIOCEPTIVE DISORDERS IN CASE OF VISUAL SYSTEM PATHOLOGY Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: ophthalmology. SUBSTANCE: patient observes rotation of "dotted" shadow projection of plug in horizontal plane, clockwise or counter-clockwise around "dotted" shadow projections of the second plug. In this case, plug rotation diameter varies from 50 to 200 mm, and rotational speed is from 15 to 90 rpm. Person under test describes orally visual effect observed and makes schematic sketch. Depending on number of inadequate answers and their qualitative characteristic absence or presence of visual-motor and visual-proprioceptive disorders and degree of their hardness are diagnosed. The method is simple and does not require preliminary teaching of patient. It makes it possible to reveal disorders with both binocular and monocular characters of vision.
