METHOD FOR LASER TREATMENT OF SEROUS RETINAL PIGMENT EPITHELIUM DETACHMENT Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC A61F9/08

Abstract RU 2817247 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ophthalmology. Laser exposure is carried out at a lower edge of the retinal pigment epithelium detachment, wherein the laser exposure is carried out with a yellow solid-state laser with wavelength of 577 nm with the following parameters: spot diameter 50 mcm, pulse duration 0.06 sec. Pulse power is selected individually as follows: testing is carried out by applying an applicate on an intact retina in the region of the upper or lower vascular arcade, starting from power of 80 mW with pitch of 10 mW to obtain a first degree coagulate, after testing, the obtained power is doubled and laser exposure is performed with this power, wherein the exposure is carried out at the lower edge of the dome of the retinal pigment epithelium detachment at the maximum distance from the fovea point.

EFFECT: method allows effective treatment of serous retinal pigment epithelium detachment, reduced injuries, risk of complications.
