FIELD: sorption appliances; applicable in air cleaning from toxic impurities in means for protection of respiratory organs, in industrial adsorbers, etc. SUBSTANCE: method includes treatment of active carbon with impregnating solution containing compounds of copper and chromium with subsequent heat treatment. Method is distinguished by the fact that impregnating solution is prepared by dissolving of copper sulfate in water at temperature of 30-80 C, addition of sodium carbonate in sodium salt-copper salt weight ratio of 1: 91.9-2.3) and washing of formed sediment and its dissolving in ammonium solution of 5-20% ammonium carbonate. Heat treatment of active carbon is carried out with gas-air mixture at 130-200 C. The method allows to produce sorbent with high dynamic activity with respect to poorly sorbing substances. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 2 cl, 3 ex
