FIELD: automotive industry; assembling of car bodies with tubular skeletons. SUBSTANCE: proposed method of assembling comes to the following: first upper part of body in form of tubular skeleton is assembled, and then assembling of body lower part is carried out independently from upper part. Then movable body members such as doors, hood, trunk lid, and stationary body members such as fenders and roof are mounted on skeleton after which upper and lower parts of body are machined and painted independently. This done, car seats are mounted on lower part of body, and upper and lower part of body are connected. Mounting of engine unit with controls, running gear, transmission with controls and steering gear on lower part of body, also made in form of tubular skeleton, is carried out before connecting upper and lower parts of car body. Prior to connecting upper and lower parts of body, nonmetallic splash guards are secured by detachable joints on body upper and lower part members, and body decorations are fitted. At least part of movable body members is installed on upper part of body by means of detachable joints. EFFECT: reduced labour input in assembling.
