METHOD OF DIAGNOSIS OF ATLAS TRANSCORPORAL INCOMPLETE DISLOCATION Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: medicine, particularly, radiodiagnosis of pathology of vertebral column neck part. SUBSTANCE: method is realized by side roentgenograms with the help of measurement on roentgenograms of parameters of vertebral column neck part. Drawn on side projection roentgenogram is line running through base of axis tooth-shaped process. Subject to measurement are width of axis body base and width of axis body under base of tooth-shaped process; width of vertebral canal at level of the second and third neck vertebras. Procedure also includes determination of ratio between axis body height and height of its tooth-shaped process. In case of passage of fracture line more caudal than axis tooth-shaped base process, width of axis body under tooth-shaped base exceeds the width of its body, and width of vertebral column at axis level exceeds width of vertebral column at level of the third neck vertebra, and height of axis tooth-shaped process equals more than 40% of vertebra entire height, comminuted fracture of the neck second vertebra body is stated with displacement of fractures, and atlas incomplete dislocation is diagnosed with deformation of vertebral canal and canal of vertebral artery. EFFECT: higher accuracy of diagnosis without use of computer tomography, possible selection of corresponding treatment tactics and reduced terms of treatment. 4 dwg, 1 ex
