METHOD FOR ULTRASONOGRAPHIC DIAGNOSTICS OF NATAL LESIONS IN CRUVEILHIER'S JOINT Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC A61B8/00 

FIELD: medicine, juvenile neurology.

SUBSTANCE: the present innovation deals with predicting vertebral-spinal natal cervical traumas due to obtaining the picture of intervertebral disks and shadows of the bodies of cervical vertebrae in sagittal, frontal, cross-sectional anterior-lateral planes. Moreover, a pick-up unit of ultrasound scanner at working frequency of 5 or 7.5 MHz should be applied along posterior edge of nodding muscle in coronary projection till the moment of obtaining the picture of lateral masses of vertebra C1 and odontoid process of vertebra C2 to analyze and fix the picture obtained. Then the pick-up unit should be applied onto area between hyoid bone and oral bottom in strictly anterior cross-sectional plane to obtain the picture of lateral masses of vertebra C1 and odontoid process of vertebra C2 simultaneously to fix and analyze the picture. According to the shift of odontoid process against lateral masses of C1 it is possible to conclude upon the lesion in Cruveilhier's joint. The innovation enables to diagnose vertebral-spinal natal traumas at the level of the upper cervical vertebrae.
