SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to neurosurgery and traumatology, and can be used for surgical treatment of unstable fractures in atlantoaxial complex. In the patient's posture on the abdomen with fixation of the Mayfield bracket head, by means of which in the presence of the displacement of the axis of the vertebra C2, performing its reduction under the fluoroscopic control, the posterior median surgical access in cervical spine. Stabilization of the fracture is performed using laminar hooks, which are installed beyond the arches of the first and second cervical vertebrae towards each other on both sides. Hooks on each side are connected by rods, which are then connected by transverse connector.

EFFECT: method provides reducing the frequency of postoperative complications, the radiation load on the patient, reducing the operation time due to use of the atlantoaxial complex for stabilization with the help of laminar hooks installed behind the arches of the first and second cervical vertebrae.
