GEAR TO DEPOSIT DISPERSION MATERIAL COATS Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

Abstract RU 2146563 C1

FIELD: deposition of coats. SUBSTANCE: invention can be used specifically for deposition of protective coats by sputtering of dispersion materials both under electrostatic and tribostatic conditions. Case of gear has shape of hollow truncated right-angle pyramid. Voltage multiplier is anchored in space of case on side opposite to position of hollow handle. Output of multiplier is connected to high-voltage electrode. One of input leads of multiplier is lead for connection of high-voltage source. Another input lead is grounding lead. Dissector fabricated in the form of cone is mounted for replacement outside of cone-shaped forming butt part of case. Flexible dielectric tube functioning as duct supplying gas and powder mixture is freely placed in case and handle. High- voltage electrode is manufactured in the form of two current-conducting needles electrically contacting one another positioned in sequence and mounted in current- conducting internal tail part of dissector. Sharp end of first hard-mounted needle protrudes beyond butt of dissector by distance of 4.0-6.0 mm. End of separable second needle mounted in tail part of dissector is placed deep with reference to cone-shaped forming butt part of case. Invention is intended to keep laminarity of flow of gas- dispersion mixture over entire length of supply duct which leads to enhanced quality of formed coats, to increased stability of operation of gear, to improved operational stability of ejector of powder feeder, to raised operational safety of gear, to reduced loss of energy in high-voltage wire and to possibility of transfer to tribostatics - integration of tribostatic and electrostatic conditions.
