FIELD: primary gearboxes of helicopters driven by two and more engines. SUBSTANCE: helicopter rotor gearbox includes input shafts for transmission of power from engines and several stages with device for dividing the torque into equal parts according to number of engines. It is made in form of common shaft and bevel gear wheels; number of pairs of these gear wheels is equal to number of input shafts of gearbox. During operation of all engines in one mode, equal torques are delivered to gearbox from each engine. In case of disconnection or failure of one of engines, other engine is shifted to increased power to ensure flight of helicopter. Torque is distributed equally in this case. In case of three-engine system, all kinematic chains are equally loaded in case of operation of one or two engines at higher power. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of operation of gearbox. 2 dwg
