FIELD: mechanical engineering; production of binding material for automatic wrapping of stubs with subsequent welding of ends. SUBSTANCE: method comes to application of printed marks and thermoglue layer onto base. Paper tape laminated by polyethylene film used as thermoglue coating is used as base. Printed marks are applied to base from side opposite to polyethylene film. Prior to applying printed marks, base is divided into two three strips lengthwise, strip width ratio being 0.5 : 1.0 : 0.5 and marks are applied to central strip of base in form of arbitrary pattern over entire length of tape, with or without subsequent application with second printed marks. Microtext is applied to central strip in form of line along boundary with edge strips of base. Colored background is created on edge strips and printed test is applied to these strips.
