FIELD: chemical, perfume and medical industries, more particularly preparation of detergents, bleaches, perfumes and antiseptic agents. SUBSTANCE: described is calcium perborate which has composition CaO•B₂O₃•nH₂O₂ wherein n is 3.1-3.6 and contains 20-23% of active oxygen. Also described is method of preparing calcium perborate which comprises reacting calcium diborate moistened or dried at temperature of not higher then 60 C and containing 6-7 moles of crystallization water, with hydrogen peroxide.
