FIELD: metallurgy, particularly, methods of processing secondary materials containing nickel, cobalt, iron, chromium, tungsten, molybdenum, tantalum, niobium and other metals. SUBSTANCE: method includes roasting of a part of secondary materials in the amount required for compensation of nickel deficiency arising in electrolytic refining of anodes. Roasting is carried out at temperature of 400-700 C. Leaching is effected in solution of ferric chloride. Obtained solution after removal of impurities is directed to system of purification of sulfate-chloride electrolyte. Electrolytic precipitation of nickel is accomplished in common cell with single membrane, from sulfate-chloride electrolytic. Electrolytic precipitation of cobalt is effected in cell with insoluble anode from chloride electrolyte. EFFECT: reduced power and materials consumption. 4 cl, 1 ex
