FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of processing secondary materials containing nickel, cobalt, iron, chrome, tungsten, molybdenum, tantalum, niobium and other metals. Secondary metals are melted for anodes in reductive atmosphere in combination with sulfur-containing material and metal is saturated with carbon. Sulfur-containing material is added in the amount to obtain anodes where sulfur content is 0.5-2.5%. In the melting process metal is saturated with carbon up to the content of carbon in anodes 0.3-1.4%. EFFECT: decreased energy and material consumptions. 3 cl, 1 ex
