FIELD: plastic metal working, possibly manufacture of microwire of hard-to-form materials. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of placing formed material in envelopes; sealing enveloped blanks for their subsequent deformation by extrusion, rolling and drawing in conditions of plasticization of material; assembling composite blanks from clad rods received after deformation; deforming said blanks until reducing their cross section to cross section of initial clad rods; then assembling from clad rods composite blanks also to be deformed; repeating cycle of assembling composite blanks until cross section size of core of formed material of composite blank achieves size of microwire; removing envelope material, separating cores and calibrating them for receiving ready microwire. Rods are mutually joined in lengthwise direction by galvanic way. Plasticizer is placed in envelopes together with formed material. After sealing enveloped blanks the last are subjected to homogenization and then they are extruded at temperature of maximum ductility of formed material. In order to make titanium microwire, pelletized titanium is used. Plasticizer is titanium hydride taken in quantity providing after homogenization hydrogen concentration in enveloped blank consisting 1-2 mass% of mass of titanium. Homogenization is performed at 800-900 C; deformation by extrusion is realized at 350-600 C. Invention allows to increase product yield by 2.4 times and to make microwire with diameter 1-1000 micrometers suitable for suturing in medicine, for glass reinforcing, for making filtering members, composite materials and so on.
