FIELD: production of micro-wire of hard-to-form materials such as of titanium.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of placing worked material in copper jacket; sealing it; deforming, cutting prepared rod by measured-length pieces; assembling said rods to composite blank; placing it to jacket; deforming it while repeating said operation till achieving cross section size of strand equal to micro-wire size; stripping material of jacket; dividing strands and sizing them till producing ready micro-wire. Improved quality of micro-wire, possibility for producing micro-wire with diameter 1 - 1000 micrometers are achieved due to successively passing composite blanks through row of alternating baths for etching and washing. Titanium strands are divided layer-by-layer beginning from upper layer at outlet of each washing bath. Produced micro-wire is wound on reels. Hydrogenated titanium with hydrogen concentration in titanium 1.3 - 1.5 mass % is used as worked material.
EFFECT: improved quality of micro-wire.
