FIELD: metallurgy, namely continuous casting of hard-to-form metals. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of casting two melt metals until making predetermined length billet; before changing melt metal providing its maximum casting level, then interrupting metal feed and pressing out melt in casting direction at baring skins of billet along walls of second wall pair having upper inclined portions; casting second melt metal into space between skins and realizing additional reduction of two metal layers; at first casting into mold first melt metal having less melting temperature than second metal and then casting second metal. Casting vessel includes two chambers with two rows of openings in each chamber. Said vessel may move in horizontal plane. Chamber is provided with moving slit-type grid made of material with low factor of heat conductivity. EFFECT: enhanced quality of surface and inner structure of billet, high strength of bimetallic joint. 4 cl, 2 dwg
