FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: proposed device is internal combustion engine made in form of gas turbine plant for use as drive in vehicles. Combustion in two- shaft engine takes place in constant volume combustion chambers into which air is supplied by cyclic action compressors. Fuel supply and formation of ignition spark is provided owing to mechanical coupling of these devices with shaft of compressors. Which are driven corresponding d turbine. Useful power is taken from output shaft driven by free traction turbines fitted on this shaft. Gases are delivered to turbines through divergent nozzles. Compressor shaft speed is adjusted by outlet throttle- valve installed in combustion chamber and in nozzle of compressor drive section. Additional amount of fuel can be delivered into this section to improve engine starting. Plant provides stoichiometric composition of combusted fuel, makes it possible to dispense with clutch, facilitates operation of turbines and simplifies control. EFFECT: enhanced reliability and manufacturability, reduced harmful effect on environment when vehicle is stopped and at any operating conditions. 2 cl, 7 dwg
