FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: proposed method comes to suction of air into above-piston space with simultaneous injection of fuel, compression of fuel and air, introduction of additional amount of air into space, ignition of mixture by spark, combustion and expansion of products. In process of compression, under-piston space is divided into two spaces. Compressed air is delivered additionally into one space, and fuel, into the other space, and in process of combustion, space are interconnected. Device is provided for combustion of mixture in above-piston space in which cylinder head has two cavities one of which accommodates compressed air inlet valve and other accommodates spark plug and fuel system nozzle.
