FIELD: reconditioning refractory lining of industrial furnaces, mainly chamber-type externally heated furnaces; repair of furnace chamber (heating walls), for example, coke furnaces or other industrial furnaces using high heat-conducting refractory materials possessing high linear expansion (brick, corundum, etc). SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes heat insulation of heating walls of two inoperative chambers of furnace by glueing sheet heat-insulating material and/or securing this material by means of screws, spacers or jacks, followed by disassembly of lining and erection of new lining; temperature of adjacent heating walls is maintained at level of 750 C to 950 C while the work is in progress through control of heat delivery; temperature in area where work is performed is maintained at level of 20 C to 80 C through control of parameters of delivery of atmospheric air to this zone. EFFECT: considerable reduction of reconditioning time; improved quality; enhanced reliability increased service life of reconditioned lining. 6 cl, 2 dwg
