FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, particularly, to method of hot repair of furnace refractory lining and may be used in any other industry for and thermal and powder cutting of nonmetallic materials. Proposed method comprises adjusting gas feed in process lines (8, 9) in two flows onto heated surface of lining under repair, lining softening to plastic state to produce high-temperature melt. First flow containing oxygen passes through injector 12 and spear 14 while second flow containing liquefied mix flows through feeder 1, injector 12 and spear 14. Second flow is fed into feeder 1 through aerator (6) while carrier gas may be either compressed air, or nitrogen, or oxygen. Thermal mix aluminium, silicon and pre-calcinated iron oxides, is used as thermal mix. Refractory lining is cut by jet of mix produced from two flows after mixing in injector.
EFFECT: optimised conditions of thermal cutting of refractory lining.
